Andy Wilkinson studied photography and design at St Albans School of Art & Design and at Exeter College of Art. Since graduating in 1979, Andy has spent his entire working life within the design industry and for the last ten years as a director of a multi-disciplined creative design agency in Hertfordshire.
It’s hardly surprising then that Andy brings a graphical approach to his photography. He views landscape in terms of balance, composition, texture and form in both the colour and black & white formats. He delights in isolating the detail within the larger landscape to capture a more intimate snapshot of a world that is there to see but largely goes unnoticed.
Andy is no stranger to the north Norfolk coast. Through childhood to present day he has been fascinated by the crisp skies and the ever changing play of light upon water, mud, pebble and reed. The photographs represented here are the result of a personal resurgence in the thrill of collecting images.
